Cost of living support and advice

As a result of increasing concerns surrounding the cost of living crisis please find below provisions available at Dallam School. The Department for Education have provided additional funding through the School Poverty Grant to enable us to potentially offer support to parents, who are facing forms of financial difficulty but are not eligible for Universal Credit or other benefits.

The following arrangements are either currently in place or are in the process of being introduced:

  • Support with costs for Food Technology lessons
  • Provision of a school lunch, should a student not have access to one
  • Access to free breakfast items
  • Revision guides supplied to all year 11 students, free of cost
  • Small group intervention and one to one tuition
  • Free music lessons
  • Support with uniform and equipment
  • Full details of provisions for those eligible for Pupil Premium funding is outlined on our
    website.
  • Further support for financial assistance, particularly for school trips, is available on the school website

Unfortunately, payment to support home to school transport costs is not available through the School Poverty Grant.

Should you feel you need to access some support, please contact Mrs Kim Forsyth at the following email address: k.forsyth@dallamschool.co.uk, who will be able to discuss any
requirements you have. Please be aware, any information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality and will be used only to implement suitable support for you and your
child.
