Specialist teacher shapes future of subject curriculum

School News ·

This autumn, our philosophy, religion and ethics teacher, Mrs Bell was invited to lead a session at the National Association of Teachers of Religious Education (NATRE) symposium.  The symposium was a meeting of 25 religious studies/philosophy, religion and ethics/worldview teachers that were selected from all of the UK and international schools to come together to engage in constructive, robust and critical conversations about curriculum design as part of a professional learning community.  The discussion, ideas and results from the symposium will be used in the longer term to support teachers across the country in developing their curriculum and will have a major impact on the future of the subject.

It’s was such an honour to share thoughts and ideas with people with a diverse range of experience and backgrounds. – Mrs Bell, philosophy, religion and ethics teacher
