The transition to secondary school results in big changes not only for students but also for parents in understanding the new or different systems that schools use.
This parents information evening is a chance for Year 7 parents to meet a number of key people in school, find out some more information about our systems and an opportunity to answer questions and provide feedback.
There will be a carousel of different information workshops on some of the following themes:
- teaching and learning – including homework and timetable information
- pastoral care
- reporting and student progress
- safeguarding and mental health
- behaviour and rewards
Each workshop will last for approximately 15 minutes and there will be refreshments provided on the evening.
For parent/carers that are unable to make it, we will look to create some information handouts that we will send out later in the school year.
