We know that all parents and carers need to be as well informed as possible so that they can support their son/daughter through the complex process of post-16 education and the move through further and, perhaps, higher education.
There are two sessions during the Parents Information Evening.
- 5:30 – 6:30pm – Year 12 parents
- 6:30 – 7:30pm – Year 13 parents.
During the evening, parents will be introduced to the concept of a growth mindset, it’s advantages and importance in education and how you can support those messages at home. We will run through strategies that have been introduced to support your students throughout their time at school and on their journey through life. We hope that parents will leave the information evening reassured that they can play an active role in their child’s education and with practical advice and useful tips on building resilience, supporting key messages, developing personal responsibility and changing attitudes to learning.
The Year 13 presentation will also cover the key dates for the year, exam preparation and independent support and guidance surrounding post-18 destinations.
