On Sunday 24 September, the Dallam P.E. team took seven students to the English Schools Fell Running Championships at Giggleswick. It was a day of mixed weather but fantastic conditions for fell running. Over 100 schools sent students to North Yorkshire for the annual event which didn’t disappoint.
The course was initially a flat, loop of fields which included a water jump. Followed by a tough uphill climb and a steep decent into the finish.
Competitors from Dallam school included:
Year 8 – Ava Heath, Sophie Brownsmith and Emily Masse-Enright
Year 9 – Jack Moon
Year 10 – Oscar Barron and Sam Melrose
Year 13 – Sarah Smith
All performed well, and proudly represented the school with the courage and endeavour required for such an event.
