We are encouraging our students to go on a blind date during half term. Yes, that’s right – but not in the TV dating show type fashion. Our librarian, Miss Brown and her team of student helpers have gift-wrapped some books and provided some cunning clues on the wrapping to help students to choose something they might not have tried before. This year’s Valentine’s Day may lead to love of a new genre or author – a love that could last a lifetime.
We all get into the reading habit of choosing books by the same author or the same genre. We hope that through having a blind date with a book this half term, some students may open up the range of books that they enjoy. Why not give it a try? – Miss Brown, Librarian
