Local primary schools cross-country run at Dallam

It was a dry but chilly day for the Dallam Cluster primary schools cross-country competition.  Young runners, from Years 1-6 from six local primaries gathered on the sports field at our boarding house site in Heversham.  Runners came from:

  • Arnside National C of E School
  • Crosscrake C of E Primary School
  • Holme Community School
  • Levens C of E School
  • Milnthorpe Primary School
  • Storth Primary School.

Our Sixth Form Sports Leaders were on hand to ensure the event ran smoothly.  They were in charge of registering all contestants, marshalling the course, starting the races, judging the final runner positions and equally importantly, manning the refreshments for those all important post-race drinks.

“We’d like to thank all the runners, their teachers and families who came to support them and our Sixth Form Sports Leaders for making this another great community event at Dallam.  We spied a few children we hope will aspire to help Dallam continue its high-ranking cross-country position in the region.  We know you’d look great in a Dallam PE kit!” – Mrs Garnett, Dallam’s Primary School Sports Coordinator
