Applications for instrumental lessons at Dallam School starting in Sept 2022 are now open. The attached letter provides information about the wide variety of instrument students can learn and the cost of the lessons. Students who are taking GCSE or BTEC Music, or who are regarded as a ‘pupil premium’ student are entitled to free lessons.
There are many studies that highlight positive reasons for learning to play a musical instrument, ranging from improved academic skills to development of social skills and confidence. Not to mention – it’s great fun.
If your child is thinking of learning to play an instrument but is not sure, or cannot decide what they would like to learn to play, please get them to speak to Mr Parker or Mr Hewitson as they may be able to arrange for a free taster session!
